TREE STUMP BRAAI

Cook with a tree stump. Reusable tree stump braai. Cooking using a tree stump and lumpwood charcoal. Drill through the centre of the top, then drill through the side near the base to meet up with the first drilling. Hack an area central in the top of the log in which you lay the charcoal. You will get four or five cooks on this factors dependent. It's handy if you want a quick small meal. Kerry.

To get it going you can excite the charcoal by applying air gently into the pre drilled bottom hole.
In the interests of safety we used a pump but all you need is an old piece of old pipe to blow in, use pipe for your pump nozzle if it's plastic

USE CAUTION NOT TO DRAW HOT ASH / EMBER INTO YOUR PUMP OR MOUTH !

You can raise your cook on logs or stones
After several separate cooks (or one long)  you end up with something like this
You can simply cover when finished to keep the rain out, easy to empty when cold just lift and tip, nothing to clean and ready to use again.
