Take the head off a basic garden light,
ensure that your chosen model is switchable and turn switch to the off position
Affix a suitably sized tool clip into a sunny position that will hold the lamp head
Clip the lamp head into the tool clip
Add a strip of luminous tape above your clip
With the tape it will be easy to find in darkness
Cheap enough to mount a few in numerous
locations, you'll never be far from a ready to use light source. It is not going to light up a vast area but will allow the safe gathering up of kit without tripping over the cat in the process
Many varieties exist, as long as it fits the clip and is switched it will do the job
