PORTABLE SOLAR POWER UNIT

Having another power source is extremely benifecial especially if it is portable, even if not used for power outage it's handy when out and about. A portable solar power supply unit, this can be as technical and costly or as easy and cheap as you wish. For example all you need is a battery which you could buy from a scrap yard and a reasonable panel to charge your battery during the day. All depends on what you plan it to power.
               SIMPLE BASIC SYSTEM
  CONTAINED POWER UNIT
Making a simple contained power unit would be a step up from the basic car battery connected to a panel idea. Get yourself a box for the battery, a marine/leisure battery box is an option such as the example below, then add your requirements to it

Here is a look at the unit i put together using 2 batteries and a bread bin. It is chargeable by solar, vehicle or mains.
The beginning, one bread bin, one car battery and one 12v Yuasha battery.
