LOCAL OFFICIAL GUIDANCE / REGISTRATION AND HELP MAY WELL BE APPLICABLE
Whilst the treatment presented may well vary depending on the pathogen here is a brief guide to having a basic plan in place should you have a home case to deal with. Preparation for care and isolation of an infected person whilst taking into account the prevention of cross contamination to other family members including the dedicated carer.

BASIC CARE ROOM KIT.
PPE
Do not take risks, make sure that you have regulation protectives in line with the pathogen involved, as with anything else during times of severe crisis stock these within your preps as the likelihood of finding them could be limited. A broad range of basics for covering dealing with a sick person could include surgical type 2 masks for the patient whilst carer is in room of isolation or in the case of no on suite toilet for patient when leaving the room.
FFP2 OR 3 Masks for the dedicated person who undertakes care.
Aprons, googles, face shield, gloves, overshoes could also be added to the home kit, again what would need to be used would be pathogen dependant.
A reusable full vision respirator could do away with the need to stock FFP2 / 3 masks, goggles and face shields for the care giver.
Respirator shown, Scott Vision 1000, more on this model in the links section of this article.
Automatic sprays, another consideration either inside or outside of the isolation room, avoid budget ones, less disinfection and more perfume can merely carry the pathogen.

ROOM CLEANING /SANITATION
Keep a suitable range of cleaning materials within the isolation room. Conduct a daily clean during a time you are already in the room as opposed to making an additional visit. Ensure that any disinfectant / chemical used is in fact suitable for the pathogen involved and always use the manufacturers instructions if it requires dilution. Remember cleaning outside the room maybe necessary where perhaps an on suite toilet is not available, these areas should be cleaned very promptly once the patient has returned to the isolation room. Clean hard surfaces with soapy water first then sanitise with appropriate cleaner / disinfectant. If a solution needs to be made for your sanitiser follow manufacturers directions.
Consider UVC lighting but only when the patient is out of the room (unless it is far UVC) Useful for room sanitation after the room has been permanently vacated.
BE AWARE OF THE RISKS CONCERNING UV-C LIGHTING
Dedicate a room for the infected person if possible.
MINIMAL SPACE TO ISOLATE ?
This could prove difficult, bedsit, one bedroom or whatever. Not many options, however you could semi isolate the bed from the rest of the room using a basic decorators sheet, it is surely better than nothing. Attach to ceiling and walls with blutac, double sided tape etc.
